  3. Ah, so this explains why magnesium supplementation can help reduce or prevent type 2 diabetes. Sounds to me (in the case of diabetes) like magnesium pulls the triglycerides from the body, as that would be a natural control on excess triglycerides; rather than vice versa. Regardless, though, the effect is the same, whichever is cause or effect. This thought is based on very patchwork knowledge, so pls correct me if there is something that makes this not likely… It would be interesting to know what foods early/earlier mankind would eat to counteract the effects of binge eating of season fruits.

  6. Just because it binds to Mg does not mean it is permanently stuck there . Fatty acids will go through their processing and magnesium will go its way. Did they measure their Mg levels later. What is the Mg level in lipoprotein like LDL HDL and chylomicrons. Fat is absorbed through lymphatic and most other nutrients go through the bowel endocyte to the blood. I hate when people do not follow the process. Lab values are not always indicative to health.

  7. But aren't you supposed to take magnesium with vitamin D3 which should be taken with fat?

  8. Was I doing it wrong? I was drinking Magnesium powder with whole milk. Is it enough to do the opposite effect? (Also I drink 3 glasses of milk a day)

  9. Is it really the case that as you are fat adapted / metabolically healthy you tend to gave lower tryglycerides? Ok, the liver can handle and transform them better but willnot also lypolisis occur easier, as they are the main fuel available. Just wondering.

  10. Magnesium is an intra cellular mineral . The thing is that to measure magnesum one should do a loading test to see what comes out as the body tries to hold the serum level fixed. Interesting that fatty-acids drops the magnesium-level OR is it that they checked free Mg2+ and not the Mg-COOH-R ? . I mean that if the Mg is bonded to the fatty acid its not the same that it will not be used.

  11. I take magnesium/gaba at night, how long should I wait before taking a Binder w charcoal or a detox w pectin? I make hubby & I take 1-2 hrs magnesium before taking our detox pills or drinks, but if we dont need to wait that long than I rather not. Sometimes we tskenot right after because we forgot, but not sure if it will block Mag from being absorbed.

  12. Please do a video on supplement timing and adaptogen timing. E.g. magnesium at night to help sleep? Vitamin d in the morning for circadian rhythm? Adaptogrnic mushrooms…which mushroom to take when?

  13. I inherited genetic predisposition to high triglicerides do to a liver defect. It’s genetic. It’s somewhat common in Northern European folks. Any ideas what I could do besides loose weight and exercise? My levels are over 400

  14. Then why do magnesium dense foods contain so much fat i.e. avocados and dark chocolate?

  15. A confounding factor in the study mentioned. Cream is loaded with vitamin A. Retinol can spike the blood with calcium which would also interfere with magnesium. So maybe the mechanism he is mentioning is only partly responsible, if at all. The high amount of retinol in cream makes it THE worst fat they could have possibly chosen for this study.

  17. With the fat binding to magnesium. You can urinate more also with high fat as the body calls up more water to rid the excess fatty acids in the blood and your pee out magnesium that way
